DEFALCO'S NEWS
THANKS!
On behalf of the staff of DeFalco's, we would just like to extend a hearty, "Thank you!" for all of you who showed up on Saturday (April 21) to help us celebrate our grand reopening! We had a great time and a record day! Lots of good food, beer, wine, cider, mead, etc. And, special thanks goes out to our friends in the craft brewing community around the area. We were serving lots of wonderful local brews: St. Arnold's, Southern Star, Karbach, No Label, and Buffalo Bayou Brewing. The attendees fell upon the Eatsie Boys Food Van like ants at a picnic. We also had extra support from our friends at La Fuente Winery (thanks for bringing the samples!) and the two lovely ladies (Leilani Howard & Christina Cuomo) from Glazier Distributing who were serving wines to our guests. Also attending were up-and-coming local breweries: Moontower, City Acre, and Eighth Wonder Brewing. Thanks, guys (& gals)! Again, a big Texas-sized "Thank You!" to everybody who showed up (customers & industry). We couldn't have done it without you! We had so much fun, we're considering making this an annual event! "DeFalco's Birthday Party" next spring!

FIVE GALLON SODA CANISTERS
We, like almost everyone else in the industry, have begun to run out of the soda canisters, so long our popular draft homebrew container of choice. We've been anticipating this day for quite some time - ever since all the soda companies dropped the stainless steel canisters in favor of the the throw-away mylar "bag-in-a-box" bags. Ball-lock canisters have almost completely disappeared. We have recently received several dozen of these (with the "racetrack" lids) and a more sizeable shipment of the pin-lock canisters. We are limiting purchases to two ball-lock canisters or three pin-lock canisters per customer. After these run out, well, who knows? If you are interested in getting out of the bottling business and into the kegging business, we recommend that you not waste time. We are offering new ball-lock canisters in the interim, but these fetch a premium price - about three times our previous used price. You would be well advised to keep a look-out for soda canisters and not miss an opportunity to purchase if offered. Hopefully, we'll have better news in the future, but we are not expecting so.
