Finally, after a lot of time, effort, and, of course, money, our new website is up. Thanks for stopping by! Take a look around. If you see some glitches or broken links, feel free to drop us a note at: email@example.com. We'll try to remedy the issue a.s.a.p. (after all the other emergency fixes!).
UPDATE - Currently the site is grossly overestimating shipping charges. We are working on rectifying this a.s.a.p. Rest assured that any overcharges on shipping will be refunded! We hope to take care of this soon!
The Houston Firkin Fest is a celebration of unique Texas craft beer served in traditional casks (or firkins). Now in its third year, the Houston Firkin Fest will focus on providing our attendees with unique, rare and hard to get beers from craft breweries in Houston and across the state. Each participant gets a commemorative tasting cup plus 8 sample tickets. Each sample ticket will be redeemable for a 3-ounce pour. Additional sample ticket packages will be available on site for purchase: $4 for 4 sample tickets • $8 for 8 sample tickets. The event will be held under the pavilion at Hennessy Park (right behind St. Arnold's Brewing). Parking is available for free in the Saint Arnold parking lots located directly across & adjacent to Hennessy Park (Thanks, Saint Arnolds!), as well as free on-street parking.

For over thirty years now, the first Saturday in May is designated as NATIONAL HOMEBREW DAY! Just as we have for the past several years, we are pitching the "big top," a 20' x 40' tent behind the shop. We'll be hosting a group brew-in for homebrewers. We'll be offering 15% discount on ingredients for anyone brewing on premise in addition to some other special pricing to be announced as we get closer to the big day. In addition, there will be another edition of our Pros Versus Joes where a local professional craft brewer will pit his skills against a Joe from The Foam Rangers (the local homebrew club). This is always fun. There will be some samples of homebrew, wine & beer (plus, whatever YOU decide to bring!). We'll fire up the grill to cook some burgers, hot dogs, and chicken. Come on by and we'll have a good time! More news to come!
We just received our shipment of hop rhizomes (root cuttings) for growing your own hops. We have a nice selection from which to choose. Select from:
Grab'em while you can! We've had a lot of interest this year, so act now!
Our "on-again/off-again" deal with Karbach Brewing 22 oz. bombers is on again! We received 180 cases this week and are offering them at the usual $7.99 per case! That's half-price! Act now while stocks last, which will likely not be long given past sales! Click here for details. Almost gone, again!
STELLA LINK - April has five Saturdays this year, so we're gonna' try something new this month: This Saturday, beginning at 11 am we will be conducting a DRAFT BEER SEMINAR! If you are currently brewing, but still bottling and would like to reduce the tedium, then this is the seminar for you! No sign up required and the price is right! - FREE! Come on by!
Our Clear Lake customers have spoken, and we have listened! Obviously, you were not interested in our early evening hours (Tuesday through Friday until 7 pm). Most evenings it resembled a ghost town on Sea Lark! On the other hand, we've seen numerous times where eager customers are pounding on the door before our 11 am weekday openings! Our original thoughts were that our Clear Lake area customers would leave the area earlier and arrive later than our main shop customers. We were mistaken! So, we've adjusted our Clear Lake hours to the following, effective immediately:
Mondays - Closed
Tueday, Wednesday, & Friday 10 - 6
Thursday 12 - 8 (Open Late!)
Saturday 10 - 5 (no change)
Sunday 12 - 4 (no change)
These new hours mirror our main shop hours, with the notable exceptions of Monday (still closed) and Thursday (open at noon, rather than 10 am). Note: we have extended our Thursday hours until 8 pm for those customers that absolutely need to come by after 6 pm.
Warmer weather is just around the corner, so we thought we'd offer you some lager (or "lager-esque") recipes to brew up in time for Cinco de Mayo. Hence, our beers of the month are our Mexican Lagers! Choose from:
Mexican Cerveza Clara (Pale)
Amber Cerveza (XX)
Cerveza Obscura (Dark Lager)
We are also offering a $2 discount on a featured Dog Day Recipe Kit (our Eight Liter/Two Gallon Mr. Beer Size Kit). This month we are featuring a new recipe:
Chihuahua Mexican Cerveza
We have received another shipment of meadowfoam honey! Meadowfoam is a plant native to the Pacific Northwest. The name derives from the resemblance of the bloom to the white foam on the ocean. This stuff is amazing! Hints of vanilla and marshmallows. You must taste this stuff to believe it! Click here for more details.
RJ's Craft Wine Raspberry Mocha Dessert Wine (aka "Port!") Only Three Left!
This is a seasonal offering, thus, we will not be able to order more until next spring for fall delivery! Act now while stocks last!
We have purchased nearly a third of a million Ft. Bend Brewing Company bottle caps and are offering these at half the going price for our regular oxygen-scavenging caps: $2.99 per canful (180 - 200 caps)! Because we have so many, we are offering them in bulk for even cheaper pricing: $19.99 for 10 canfuls (about 2,000 caps). If the color of the bottle cap is no big deal to you, save 50% or more off your cap costs!
The address is: 16532 Sea Lark, Houston TX 77062. Phone (281) 486-1141. Our hours are:
Tuesday, Wednesday, & Friday: 10 - 6
Thursday 12 - 8 (Open Late!)
Saturday: 10 - 5
Sunday: 12 - 4
P.S. By the way, the sign on the photo has been "photoshop-ed". Any signage must comply with local civic association deed restrictions, so we're flying under the radar now with an indoor banner by one of our windows and a re-purposed banner outside. One more hurdle to clear!
